When
you are dealing with the trauma's and headaches of trying to help a
loved one quit an addiction it can become very trying. You must always
keep in your mind that your loved one is not well, that he/she are
under the control of a strong cycle of compulsion and often times
withdrawal from a very powerful substance.An addiction deeply rooted in
psychological and physiological factors beyond their control.They often
times lie and cheat just to satisfy their urge to continue in their
addiction. To get frustrated with them is understandable. But keep in
mind that to lose patience with them will only defeat your purpose of
helping them. It is very hard to keep control of yourself and remain in
a position to help them. If you must let off steam do not do it in
front of the sufferer. There are a variety of diverse reasons of
reasons that are at the root of why the addict uses drugs or alcohol.
You will have to enlist the help of a trained and experienced substance
abuse counselor to help you get the addict into treatment and under
